The Bennettarium is owned and operated by me, Bennett McElwee.
Bennettarium runs on the excellent WordPress, with a number of custom plugins and my own “Jalix” theme. I love WordPress because it’s powerful and feature-rich, yet still simple enough for me to be able to look at the code whenever I want to do something tricky. I have even made some minor contributions to the core WordPress codebase, as well as publishing some plugins.
You can find a bit more information about some of my work on WordPress in the WordPress category of Semicolon, my software development website.
Bennettarium is part of my domain thunderguy.com. You may well wonder where the name “Thunderguy” came from.
Just found your blog. I’m curious about the group Augie March. How large is their following in Australia? And what do you think of them yourself?
They’re not particularly well-known in Australia. Especially not by me — I was sure I had something by them, but a quick search through iTunes reveals nothing. Sadly, I have very little time these days to listen to music (apart from the occasional lullabies CD, which may give you a clue where all my time goes).
Came to your site while looking for WP code highlighter plugins. I like your site design. Simple and definitely original. I am currently using PHP Highlighter by Daryl [http://daryl.learnhouston.com/] and found that it fails to apply in excerpt mode. [My display broke…] So shall give your plugin a twirl. I came to the about page, to find a photo of the author, but aaaawwww… theres no photo ): Have a nice day, and thank you for the plug-in ..
Hi Bennet,
Great site! I liked it a lot. By the way I came to it through your plugin page. Just one thing – why the site is displayed on the left side of my MacBook and not in the middle? It is a little disturbing.
But anyway, great site! Keep up the good work.
