Hospitals can be a bit depressing, with all those sick people lying around. They should hire some healthy people to occupy some of the beds, just to add a bit of spark. A good job-creation scheme, perhaps.

Perhaps the genetic engineers should create an animal that can survive having bits cut off. Then we could eat the meat from these animals without worrying about the morality of killing them.
