Vince is referring to the <cite>Erasure<\/cite> album.<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: solid #cc9 1px; padding: 2ex;\">\r\nHere is a progress report on the new album.\r\n\r\nWe are now 8 weeks into the recording of the new album. Both\r\nmyself and Andy were in Dublin last year writing new\r\nmaterial, in all, 6 songs were written in Eire. Andy is\r\nrecording vocals with Gareth Jones at his studio in East-ish\r\nLondon and I am programming and recording the music at home\r\nwith Thomas Felman producing and George Holt, engineering.\r\n\r\nThe music will be electronically generated (no...really?)\r\nbut I am still having trouble finding Andy Bells control\r\ninputs (CV &amp; Gate).\r\n\r\nWe hope to write and record at least ten songs and then\r\nchoose maybe 7 or 8 for the album. All the tracks will\r\ninclude long instrumental sections full of funny noises,\r\nweird melodies and a pretentious cinematic-like\r\natmosphere...yep, its gonna' be a concept album. We are both\r\ncurrently trying to grow long hair and goaty beards, (my\r\ncurls are already at least 1 and a half inches long!)\r\n\r\nThe album will be mixed in New York by some geezer who's\r\nname I can't spell, and will be released in Sept\/Oct 1995.\r\n\r\nLuv\r\n\r\nVincent\r\n\r\nPS.Mute are not planning to release a fourth single from\r\nISISIS.\r\n\r\nPPS.Touring?...well, er, erm, hmm.\r\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This message from Vince Clarke was forwarded to the Wonderland Erasure mailing list in February 1995 by Mike Hall, Erasure&#8217;s keyboard technician.
