I have updated my Search Meter WordPress plugin, based on feedback from its many thousands of satisfied users. (That figure is an estimate based on the half-dozen users that I actually know about.) The new version has the following new features.
List popular searches
The sm_list_popular_searches() template tag displays a list of recent popular successful search terms on your blog, with each term hyperlinked to the actual search results.
Reset statistics
There is now an Options page for Search Meter. This contains a Reset Statistics button, which you can use to clear out all saved search statistics if you want to start again.
Code improvements
Search Meter is now compatible with more PHP installations. Also, the search reports display has been improved to avoid potential problems with certain search terms.
