    Hello~

I need help, I’m planning to go to japan for a holiday. But to apply visa a letter from somebody who lives in Japan is needed. The problem is I don’t know anybody from Japan. This is my 1st time to visit Japan. I’m from Malaysia and my country is not listed in the 62 countries that not needed to get a visa. So is it possible for me to get a visa without the letter thing?
I’m only going to Japan for a few days (3-4days)

    Help please…

    Hi.
I am planning to work in Japan as an English Teacher after my graduation from a Japanese university. However the company that I am applying for said that they cannot sponsor my working visa application because i do not come from an English speaking countries. So, they said I have to get my own working visa.

However at this moment the company also said that it is too early for me to apply to that company since my graduation is only next year 2008 March.

So, does any one can help me? what should be done to get a working visa when no employer has actually formally sponsored us?

You can get a little information about most recent questions by browsing around this website. I don’t have many specific answers for specific countries and so on.

Yasmin, it is apparently possible to sponsor yourself, but it sounds difficult to me. I don’t know how to do it; I suspect you need to have lots of money or some sort of guaranteed income.

Darcy, read the rest of this website! You can’t just buy a working visa. You usually have to be sponsored by an employer. Read the various articles in the Work Visa section for more details.

I am writing to enquire as to the process of applying for a valid Japanese working Visa. I am currently attempting a English Teaching course to obtain a position in Japan but would like to know my eligibilty. How much is a working Visa?. Do they require a sustainable amount of funds as a backup?. Is it likely I would be processed if I have no criminal charges of any sort?.

    Cheers,

Jay, the visa itself doesn’t cost that much. That hard part is getting the visa granted. There is quite a lot of information on this website about this — the key to getting a working visa is being appropriately qualified and finding a willing sponsor/employer. Just read the related posts including the comments to get an idea of other people’s experiences.

Shahid Ahmed, you can’t just buy a work visa — you usually have to be sponsored (normally by an employer). You should probably read a bit more of this website and also look at a few others about living and working in Japan.

Glorifer, according to the Philippine Embassy “An entry visa issued by the Japanese Embassy in Manila (or where the Filipino resides) is required before he/she can enter Japan.”
