		<description>This message is for DIANA,who seems to know about bank accounts in Japan,see if she could answer my query.Im spanish but bein living in the u.k for 10 years now,8 years ago i travelled all over and lived in Japan for 6 months reason why i opened a bank acc. with Mitsubishi bank.I returned to the u.k with the intention of going back but never did.I dont have any card or details of my account but several times try to contact them and i gave up.I wonder if my account is still opened and if there is anyway i could have my money back from here.If still opened,how could i check my balance and will i need to go there to ge it?.

And, it is such a hassle because you wont be able to retrieve your money anywhere else but Japan. Plus, you CAN&#039;T transfer money. My suggestion is to open a Citibank account. you can get your money out from any ATM in the world and transfer money too.</description>

Some are 15 years old and used in the last 24 months and others are 25 years old and not used in 25 years. They all have small amounts of money in them, about 200 yen to 12,000 yen. Basically, I want to have a Japanese bank account/s for 1) stashing a few hunderd dollars away incase I need an alternative to a credit card 2. I want to dump small amounts into the account in the airport - coins and small bills 3) I want to be able to accept small payments and make small payments electronically.
